Cast overview

The playable cast of Legend of Mystery (complete text) spans ten-odd characters or so. The maximum number of characters is 4 - The Hero is always in the party by default. In the final sweep of the game, all the characters get separated and have to be reunited one by one. This is also when all the underdeveloped extra characters are gained.
I forgot the actual point I had when I was going to make this article, so I'll just list the characters and compare their battle characteristics.

List of characters comparing battle characteristics
- The Hero - physical, aligned towards offense.
- The Bandit King - physical, aligned towards agility.
- Eigon - physical, aligned towards defense.
- Larynx - just plain physical
- Yuri - just plain useless
- Melony - really weak defensively and offensively, healing magic.
- Jasmine - probably even weaker, offensive magic, summons.
- Siren Gabbiani - accurate fighter? Seeing as she's a gunslinger
- Lesko - hybrid physical and magical, maybe? Could also be a secondary summoner to parody Eiko.
- Erwic - various magic. Reasonably overpowered, probably. Actually, he should be a Red Mage ripoff imho.
- Aeris - obligatory crossover from another game [not actually playable?]

(Prospective) bonus characters
- Hattori Hanzo, the token ninja. He doesn't need a personality. No ninjas do. Come to think of it, he's probably the overpowered one.
- The Beast - parody of Gau and Umaro from FFVI and Kevin from SD3. Smelly and uncivilized sasquatch guy who goes on rampages. Related to the hairless bear?
- Basin/Gratin/whatever - brash, loudmouthed and stupid fistfighter and childhood friend of The Hero. Hasn't been implemented into the story (yet).
- Yuan - dies before you get the airship. (LOL!)
- Elizabeth Bathory
