unfortunately Clip Fix wouldn't've done anything to Fear of a Blank Planet; they used some other form of volume compression that pretty much doesn't respond at all to it. Yet to look at Nil Recurring and see if it's also the case here, but I suspect so.
System of a Down is one of the better mainstream metal bands of their era, alongside Deftones and a few others. Never listened much to any of them though.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
Vaulting, veering, vomiting up the values that victimized me, feeling vast,
feeling virginal... was this how he felt? This verve, this vitality... this vision...

Have a flower, Lanlalan. Your dream is a Wooden Lotus; the first street.
On the second street is the Sunflower Queen.
The flower on the third street is a Trumpet Creeper.
On the fourth street, a wet Emerald Willow.
My flower is a lost child's flower--
when from far away, a house burns.
A girl who grabs a black dog with a dull eye and runs;
That is Camelia. "Reality doesn't make sense; I only want to see beautiful things."
i'm still trying to work out whether this song is about sex, suicide, or both. the string arrangement is brilliant.

First track from their new tour CD-R, which apparently, like their second self-titled album, doesn't have song titles. I don't know if anyone else here actually listens to them, but if you're a fan of Weakling-style black metal you really owe it to yourself to check them out; they're some of the best of the genre. I'm quite in love with this group. Let me know if you want an upload of this.

I really love the new album, having listened to it a lot this past week or so. I would've liked it better without the singing refrains (like in this song) because Marshall just sounds awkward singing but the actual rapping is so introspective and raw that it makes it all worth it.
